CHRISTMAS ADVENTURES WITH SANTA'S HAT BRIEF
My vision for this Christmas Children's Book spread was something that was whimsical, energetic and filled with magic. Naturally when thinking about Christmas one thinks of their loved ones. My 2 younger siblings were a lot of my inspiration for this story and in general. Commonly you will see 3 children a lot of times in my illustrations due to their influence on me as an older sister. I wanted to document their personalities in this spread and included their own names within the text. Overall, this is my favorite by far spread I've made not only due to the connection I made with it but also the connection it gives to others as well.
SYNOPSIS
On Christmas night, three children Abbigail, Cole and Ashley all plan to wake up and catch Santa to finally see him. They secretly walk down the steps and already see the tree filled with presents, but soon realize Santa left behind his magical hat with its own personality. With only a few hours to spare, the children help the magical hat to return back into Santa's possession. In return of their kind act, they meet Santa and complete the true meaning of Christmas by being kind and sharing precious moments between family.
